Problem Gambling Awareness Month (PGAM) is observed nationwide every March.
Initiated as a month-long campaign by the National Council on Problem Gambling in 2014, to raise awareness about the risks associated with gambling in its numerous forms. It also seeks to grow awareness about prevention strategies along with the availability of treatment and recovery services, while educating the public on problem gambling.
As Florida’s approved problem gambling support provider, Playwise creates valuable resources to help individuals, households, educators, organizations, and various stakeholders navigate the complexities of gambling as a matter of public health.
Problem Gambling Awareness Month in Florida 2026
This year, the theme for Problem Gambling Awareness Month is “Caring Communities, Stronger Futures”. For the Sunshine State, it emphasizes the importance of a community-driven approach to problem gambling awareness and support. Families, friends, coworkers, educators, healthcare providers, businesses, and organizations are encouraged to protect public health and promote responsible gambling.
